I am so done with winter, like so many others who dwell in locals not fit for human habitation. One of the best ways to access reservoirs of sanity is to seek relief for the eyes and soul in art galleries and museums. New favorites lurk in fabulous places yet to be discovered. This image is a great getting-through-the-winter image. It says everything about summer worth saying without a single pronoun. I found this at Hirschl & Adler Modern’s online Gallery (you can visit their real one at 21 East 70th Street, New York, NY 10021) I am no slave to realism, but I don’t dismiss it realism because it’s less trendy. The sticker on this piece gives new definition to the “wish” in my wish list, but while I was ogling at it during a sandwich break, I noticed an uncanny synergy between the forms in the painting and a Design Legacy Pillow in the group of pillows I was uploading:
Truth be told if I had my wish, I would have both – the painting on my wall above an ocean blue velvet sofa on which rests this pillow. Wishing seldom involves compromise

I’ve been following your blog since you started. You have made amazing progress. This site is an inspiration for all pursuing a long transition versus the big chop.

Thank you, I think! I am more well versed in design than blog vocabulary but big chop sounds really unpleasant!
